The Swinburne University of Technology plans to reduce gender inequality. Professor Quester highlighted how vital gender inequity plays in the community and the well-being of students and staff. Professor Pascale Quester stated, “We know that gender equality, and the liberation for all to seek prospects uncontrolled by bias is critically essential for a victorious workplace, community, economy and most significantly, for our people to flourish”. These gender equality action plans aim to improve gender inequity in the workplace. Dr Vincent impressed the audience with how the transparency of compulsory baseline workplace equity data will influence transformation across the Victorian public sector.
Across 70 million data points related to gender equality are publicly available and searchable, promoting healthy competition and working hard to manage prestige and be employers of choice.
