Chris Johnson, a researcher at the University of Tasmania has been awarded with an Australian Research Council Linkage Project grant worth $720,000, for a project focused on protecting the endangered Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagle. Chris Johnson said, “This project will help us to build the clearest picture yet of how many eagles there are, where they are, and how we can manage any potential risks or impacts to the population across Tasmania”.
