Engineering students at James Cook University are making an advanced autonomous boat. This boat will be featured in the Maritime RobotX challenge at the end of this year. Ethan Waters, project leader and James cook university Robotics Club president said, this boat is expected to face some difficult tasks when it competes at the 2022 Maritime RobotX Challenge. He also said that “A boat like this could have several applications, such as reconnaissance, search and rescue or even autonomously patrol parts of the reef to observe different marine life,”.
