ECU (Edith Cowan University) is ready to open a new University Department of Rural Health in Western Australia. This department of Edith Cowan University will help researchers, nurses and other health workers to enhance their knowledge and skills. Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison recently made the announcement on his visit to Western Australia with ECU’s involvement as part of a $36 million investment from the federal government which will help the graduating health professionals to practice in the South West region. Scott Morrison “The program extension we’ve announced today will result in 3000 additional placement weeks per year at full implementation – that’s up to 500 more students gaining rural clinical experience in Western Australia.”
